Final Exam Explanation

  • Columbus day poster
  • First movie project
  • Music posters
  • Breast cancer Awareness Posters
  • Second movie project

I chose these five projects for my final exam prezi mostly based on how fun they were. It was difficult because of how fun everything was in this class, but I think I narrowed it down successfully. There was also the factor of how engaging it was.

Digital footprint

The site says I scored 21 points, a moderate digital footprint. The little radar thing looks like one of the Mario mushrooms.

Media plays a huge role in our daily lives. Everyone watches tv a bit, or plays some form of game on their phone or playstation or whatever. The internet creates a huge digital footprint, with so much data being created and used. Phones are slightly smaller, barring smartphones. Videogames that can go online/worldwide create footprints that are used by video game companies, such as statistics on a specific game.

My digital footprint. It took a lot of rearranging the the words until Tumblr was the biggest. That's definitely the site I go to most.

Ooops, I messed up a bit on this. The bubble blocked says search engines, which is, of course, leading to google searches. As you can see, I do pretty much everything from my phone.

Eaton Theatre digital switch

1. 35 mm film

2. The small theatres have to switch to digital projectors, but they're cost prohibitive and would llikely result in a loss of profit.

3. Fox

4. The matinence for them is almost higher than the revenue the theatre makes.
5. The projecter is too expensive. It's at least 50% of their profits gone in the machine.
6. I like their idea. To keep one film and make one digital. But when they have to get the second digital, charge a buck or two extra on tickets. 6.00 isn't that big a step up from 4.00

Movie Biopic Project

Assignment: Create a poster, t-shirt and movie ticket for a movie about your life. I had several ideas as to what to call the movie, but all of them were very action-y, and not descriptive of me, a not-action-y person.
Dragonmaker is a calm title, implying the slow creation of a big thing, rather than fast-paced chaos.

Emma Watson is literally the only actress who looks like me in any way. As for Chris Hemsworth (Thor, 2012), Ellen Degenres (Host of Ellen), and Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother), I was mostly scrounging for names, but I like all of these people.

Leif Erikson Day

Hej! Please note thet the chibi picture of Mr. Matthias Køler is not Leif Erikson, as the only good pictures I could find of our great explorer are a statue, and those of the statue's butt. I don't have anything against butts, yet I don't think that would go over well.

I've learned that Fair Use is what protects others' creations from being stolen and used elsewhere under someone else's name. This is important because it gives credit where credit is due, something not easily available with internet pirates. (Take, for example, the Meme. Though many pictures like that are used in good fun and people understand what is being done with their image.) Searching for images under CC, while limiting the selection, allows for free images, safe to use in a variety of situations.

In regards to my last post

Wow, It's been a while hasn't it? Well, If any of you are Hetalia fans, you'll recognize that the man wearing the maple leaf tank top is Canada. I, in my nomal day-to-day life act a bit like him, quiet and invisible.

the day is March 27, 2012. I informed my teacher that I had arrived for my independent study class. She asked who informed her (much like how anyone responds to anything Canada says).

I don't know whether to feel proud or dejected.
